During this visit a flight with an Italian B707 tanker was made.
Geilenkirchen during Clean Hunter 2001During the Clean Hunter 2001 exercise, extra aircraft were based at Geilenkirchen. The USAF E-3 and AMI B707 flew several missions, next to the 'local' NATO E-3 missions.The NY ANG KC-135's did not participate in the exercise. And the German Transall came in for the weekly flight to Sarajevo.
