NellisOf course Nellis is always a good place to go and also this time. There were a lot of visitors (like E3, E6, E8, EC130, RC135, RC12, B1B, CH53E) and Nellis was the temporary base for the 27th Wing out of Cannon AFB New Mexico. I also saw four A10A's from 355FS/AK, 9 F15C's and 6 F15E's from Mountain Home and four AH1W's plus an UH1N from HMLA369. Not bad for one day!
LukeLuke AFB in Arizona is the homebase for 9 squadrons of F16's! 135 were seen that day on the ramp. Special interest for me were the Taiwaneese and Singaporees examples.Davis MonthanAfter visiting Tucson ANGB and the Pima museum I drove past Davis Monthan. Six T37's were visiting on this Saterday. Other interesting airframes were two F105 Thunderchiefs and the rows of (ex?) Pakistani F16's in storage for a long time now at AMARC.
PhoenixJust before flying home from Phoenix Sky Harbor I drove past the ANG facility. Four KC135E's were seen on the ramp. |
