AH-64 departure Gilze-RijenOn monday March 29th 2004, 3 out of a total of 6 Apache AH-64 of the Klu were shipped to Afghanistan to participate in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. These Apaches left from Gilze-Rijen airbase in a Antonov 124. The Iceland government payed for the transportation costs of this operation.
