Tiger Meet at Landivisiau
The annual Tiger Meet of 2008 took place at the French ‘Base d’Aéronautique Navale’ (BAN) Landivisiau. BAN Landivisiau is located in the western point of France, in Bretagne (Brittany). On this base the squadrons 12F (Dassault Rafale) , 11F and 17F (both Dassault Super Etendard Modernisee) are located. The 11F squadron was the host of the Tiger Meet of 2008
Each year the European squadrons of the NATO, containing a Tiger in their crest/emblem, will come together for a one week exercise, the ‘Tiger Meet’. The ‘NATO Tiger Association’ is the sponsor for this meeting, which dates back to the first Tiger Meet in 1961. During this year’s exercise, many aircraft were decorated with special Tiger markings. The aim of the Tiger Meet is not only socialising for the pilots, it is also hard work to perform several exercise flights per day.
