DHC ceremony at Gilze-Rijen

The "Defensie Helicopter Commando" is the overall Dutch command of all military helicopter activities. It was established in july whereby all Air Force and Navy helicopters are controlled by DHC.

The DHC is a cost efficient organization which has it’s main operating base at Gilze-Rijen airbase in the south of the Netherlands. Most Dutch Air Force helicopters are based at Gilze-Rijen (Apache, Chinook, Cougar, Alouette 3), 3 AB-412 SP SAR helicopters are based at Leeuwarden. The dutch Navy flies the Lynx onboard helicopter from NAS De Kooij and the command over these helicopters is at DHC since July. The future NH-90 helicopter will be delivered into the DHC next years.
