Aeronaval F-8's at Kleine-Brogel
During 3 days in 1999, one of the most remarkable events of 1999 took place. 4 F-8 Crusaders from the French Aeronaval visited Kleine-Brogel for some dogfighting with 10 OCU wing. Even a 5th F-8 came around. At the end of 1999, all F-8's will be withdrawn from use as they will be replaced by the Rafaele.The F-8 was in service with the US Navy since the 1950's. In Europe, the only flyworthy Crusaders fly around ath the French aircraft carriers.
